If the doctor or nurse taking the test has asked you to make a further appointment, you will be given the results then.

If you do not have a further appointment and if the result requires action you will be contacted by telephone or letter.

If you have been asked to phone, or if you are anxious about the result, you can obtain your result by telephoning 01563 522118 between 14:00 – 16:00 Tuesday to Friday. 

Please note that results will not be available on a Monday.

Please wait 7 days before phoning for blood or urine test results and 14 days for X-ray results.

Cervical Smear results are sent direct from the NHS Screening Department to the patient's home address.
